Above - William's Classic Pink (on the left) and CorleyOak Versace (on the right) - best friends, chilling out together!
Pictured above - left to right - Taz, Ed, Badger & Versace... The gang of four, making a move on the hay as it is being delivered!
(Ed has now been sold on and Tinka below is his replacement)
Below..... Versace (in the lead) and left to right at the rear, Badger, Tinka and Taz, cantering down the paddock towards the stables in the snow! They heard the food buckets rattle!!

William's Classic Pink (Bill)
It's always a bad idea to go to a horse market "just for a look"! That's how Ali became the proud owner of a six-month old colt. He is a gorgeous, chestnut sabino/red blagdon - very unusual - with hackney and welsh section D in his breeding - a very friendly, sweet-natured chap who is currently being "body-guarded" (and bossed about) by our two miniature shetland colts, who are a third of his size!

Totti Noble (Badger)
Badger is a three year old dark bay tobiano. Goodness only knows where his official name comes from. It's obvious how he got his nickname though as his forelock is black and white!

Badger has a kind, loving nature and, like his fieldmate Ed, is very eager to please. He will be shown in hand until he is old enough to be ridden. He is pictured above and below at his very first show where he was placed 3rd.

No Angel (Taz)
Taz is a 16 h Anglo-Arab chestnut mare who sometimes lives up to the chestnut mare reputation so she's well named!

(The Taz nickname is after the Tasmanian devil!). Taz is highly strung and a one-woman horse. Definitely not a horse for the faint-hearted!! However, she is bombproof on the roads and an absolute pleasure to hack out on, which is what I wanted her for!
Tinka (Tinks)
Compare this picture of Tinka now with the one below! He looks like a different horse - thank goodness. He still has some weight to put on, but it's best done slowly and surely.

The picture below is of Tinka when we bought him, just before the winter. He was in a sorry state, but we were won over by his kind temperament and could see his potential. He has slowly been putting on weight throughout the winter and thankfully he's now developing a top line with the help of the spring grass! He is growing in confidence all the time, has the sweetest nature and is a wonderfully safe hack on the roads.

Versace (daughter of Armani)
This Versace now - aged 2. She is completely, totally bombproof, having been brought up by us from birth. She would live in the house if she could! She will make a super child's pony.

Below is Versace as a yearling. In the picture at the top of the page she is 18 months old. We think she'll make about 14 h.

(aged 2 months - below)

Below - aged one day!

Versace was born at 9.00 a.m. on Saturday 10th May. Having watched the mare (Armani) all that night and overnight for the previous three weeks, Versace was born while we were all having a cup of tea!

Versace resembled a gangly giraffe at birth, but got prettier as the weekend wore on!
