CORLEYOAK CHARISMATIC (Matt) * * * S O L D * * * d.o.b. 09.05.10 Dark bay colt by Allensmore Starmist (Blue dun tobiano) out of Collytown Charisma (Buckskin tobiano). Only a 2.2% chance of bay out of that pairing!! Matt has very unusual grey/brown eyes and a lovely dished face and short back.
Above is Matt in action at his first show - Fillongley Agricultural show - where he won "Best Foal" Look how dramatically his colour has changed! He had such a fun day, but by the time he'd won his rosette he was ready for a sleep!

Matt, who is less than 12 hours old in the above picture, is a really chunky colt with loads of bone. He is so stocky and forward, very, very friendly and was into everything within minutes of his birth!! Matt has already grown in a week and is up to all sorts - galloping up and down the paddock like a racehorse! Matt was sold within a few weeks of his birth (though he won't be leaving us for some time yet) and will be off "up North" to start a showing career! CORLEYOAK ANGELINA (Angel) * * * S O L D * * * d.o.b. 27.04.10 Black tobiano filly by Pinglewood Dominic (bay tobiano) out of Pinglewood Olivia (chestnut dun)
This gorgeous filly was born shortly after 6.00 a.m. on Tuesday, 27th April to a first-time Mum, Olivia. Both are doing well and Olivia is proving to be an attentive Mum. Angelina is named after the cartoon character "Angelina Ballerina" as she is very dainty and trots as though she's trotting on air just like a ballerina!
Angel has been sold to the same local home as Hope and Isla. Her new owners didn't want to wait until weaning time, so have loaned Angel's Mum, Olivia, for the time being to ensure that Angel stays with her Mum long enough. We're sure that Angel will be gracing the show ring before too long!

CORLEYOAK CINSATION (Cindy) ** R.I.P **
Stunning bay tobiano filly by Pinglewood Dominic out of Pinglewood Barbie Doll. Born at 3.00 a.m. on Friday 28th May. Sadly lost to us on Tuesday 3rd August 2010. R.I.P. CorleyOak Cinsation (Cindy) 28.05.10 – 03.08.10 Gorgeous little filly - you were with us for such a very short time, but you will be locked in my memory forever. I will never forget the drama of your birth and the relief when all was well with you and your Mum. Etched in my mind for all time is your sweet face, your bright eyes, curly tail, lovely markings and the “paintbrush butterfly” on your back. How I loved receiving gentle kisses from your velvet muzzle, the feel of your fluffy foal coat and of your dainty hooves when you put them in my hand. I loved to watch you gallop like the wind or trot as though you were floating on air and remember the joy of watching you taste your first ever polo mint. I can still hear your welcoming whinny ringing in my ears. You had such a sweet and loving nature and your whole life in front of you. I would never have parted with you willingly. I once said it would take a ton of dynamite to make me part with you. Little did I know what was to come…… You were taken from us so suddenly and so cruelly. The world seems a miserable place today and it’s raining, as so it should – the skies weeping with me at the jaw-dropping shock of your loss. I had such plans for you, little Cindy. We were going to do so much together and have such fun in the show ring, but sadly it was not to be. Bless you sweetheart. R.I.P. Ann Caine - Wednesday, 4th August 2010
This is Cindy just a few minutes after her birth....
Sadly, Cindy was found collapsed in the early hours of Tuesday, 3rd August, having been fine the previous evening. The vet could do nothing other than put her to sleep. A post-mortem revealed that her heart had not developed fully in the womb and as she grew bigger, it failed her, causing a sudden collapse. Nothing anyone could have done about it, but that didn't make it any easier to bear.... last updated 24.08.10 |
